Tom Brooks (pictured here in “still don’t know where the lens is” mode) studied literature at the University of Chicago and is known for his work as an international scientific and business communicator concentrating on early-stage technology companies. Tom has been interim CEO of technology, biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies. CEO of Brick42 Sagl, a company focused on active pharmaceutical ingredients, he is the former Managing Director of Biopolo Ticino, Director of Development and Communications at the Institute for Research in Biomedicine and lecturer in the faculties of Visual Communication and Interaction Design at the applied sciences university SUPSI in Southern Switzerland. Tom splits his time between Lugano, Switzerland and Cleveland, Ohio. Tom is often invited to lead workshops on cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary leadership topics.
Domenico (pictured here in “let me explain” mode) was graduated in Chemistry from the University of Milan where he completed his doctorate in Chemical Synthesis. Dr. Badone went on to work at Sanofi Pharma at the R&D department of medicinal chemistry as Group Leader. After 10 years he moved to Sicor Spa focusing on process chemistry on the API field. In 2002 he moved to Cerbios SA as R&D Director. In 2017 he and Tom Brooks set up Brick42 to address the international market for High Potency Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. Domenico was an avid Superbike racer for many years (Ducati Panigale 1199) .
Arnoldo Ardia studied Political Science at the University of Lausanne and has had a long and varied career in construction technologies, environmental engineering projects, construction project finance, pension and financial planning for individuals and companies and innovative medical device technologies. Arno enjoys the finer things in life and is a member of the exclusive “epicuro” club in Lugano (don’t get him started about food and wine..).
